One Tear at a Time

Another day another tear

A week goes by and I’m still here

The months they fly

What’s another year

I still have a mountain to climb

But I will soldier on one tear at a time

Nobody can tell you how to deal with grief

It’s something that you alone must endure

A personal pain that eats away

There is no known antidote or cure

One moment your sea is tranquil and calm

The next a giant wave hits you for sure

You are not alone as many suffer in silence

Don’t you ever give up hope

It will stay with you until your dying day

You just have to learn how to cope

Grief is the price you pay for love

Salvation lies in the heavens above

Another day another tear

A week goes by and I’m still here

The months they fly

What’s another year

I still have a mountain to climb

But I will soldier on one tear at a time
