San Antonio residential mortgage lenders processed almost $2 billion in loans last year, with some loan officers closing almost $100 million individually.
The 11 residential mortgage lenders on the 2024 List processed $1.8 billion in mortgage loans last year.
Legacy Mutual Mortgage had the highest local mortgage volume, with over $375 million in loans and 2,150 mortgages closed during the time period. The organization’s average mortgage was $353,973.

Amegy Bank ranked the lowest on the List but had the highest average mortgage amount. The organization’s average mortgage amount last year was $561,759.
Only three firms on the 2024 List, Legacy Mutual Mortgage, Highland HomeLoans and LoanPeople, had an increase in the number of mortgages closed. LoanPeople had over 1,000 more loans closed compared to 2022, while Legacy Mutual Mortgage had over 600 more closed loans.
The eleven mortgage lenders closed 8,601 mortgages last year.

Highland HomeLoans ranked 10th on the Residential Mortgage Lenders list, but one of its loan officers, Doug Dreiman, led the way on the 2024 Residential Mortgage Loan Officers List.

Security Service Federal Credit Union’ Allan Rhodes had the most residential loans last year, closing 221 loans for a total of $27,718,648.
