David Offer is a veteran of almost 1,100 completed residential real estate deals in his more than three decade career. With a recent deal, he took home more than a sales commission when he sold his own house in an off-market deal for $20.1 million.
Located at 240 South Chadbourne Avenue in the exclusive Brentwood Park enclave, Offer’s seven-bedroom, 10-bathroom, 9,900-square-foot house traded for $2,030 per square foot. The sale closed March 21, about 10 days before the ULA transfer tax took effect.
Offer bought the home in 2012 for $3.6 million. In 2014, a new home was built at 240 South Chadbourne Avenue.
A trust backed by Offer and his wife Leslie sold 240 South Chadbourne Avenue to another trust, of which Paula Waluch, an attorney, served as a trustee. Offer did not return a request for comment. The identity of the buyer is unknown.
Offer has an office at 11677 San Vicente Boulevard in Brentwood. He is affiliated with Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices California. In 2021, Real Trends ranked the agent for making $245 million in sales volume.
Listing site Zillow featured some comparisons to Offer’s former house. One was 414 South Cliffwood Avenue, which is located a mile away from Offer property. The 9,700-square-foot six-bed, 13-bathroom house sold in February for $14.5 million or about $1,500 per square -foot. Another comparable house is 530 North Avondale Avenue, also located a mile away from Offer’s former home. The six-bed, seven-bath 6,100-square-foot home sold for $10.6 million, or about $1,700 per square foot on March 28.
Formula 500 heiress Petra Ecclestone made headlines for acquiring a $30 million estate in Brentwood Park in March.
