Please talk about your family: My name is Rosalind D. Davis, a.k.a. Lady Roz. I am the oldest of four siblings; the mother of four wonderful children, three daughters and one son; a grandmother of 21 grandchildren; and a great-grandmother to six great-grandchildren.
How long have you lived in the Golden Isles? I was displaced to St. Marys in September of 2021 after my Louisiana home was destroyed by Hurricane Ida.
Where did you attend school? I attended the University of New Orleans as a computer science major. I also attended Delgado Community College and was a performance and media arts graduate in 2014. I have been a licensed minister since 1994. I have published four books of poetry, and I am currently working in ministry with New Beginnings Global Ministries.
How long have you worked in real estate? I entered the wonderful world of real estate as a licensed Realtor in 2004. I obtained my broker’s license in 2007. I have served Southeast Louisiana since that time. Last year, I became licensed for the State of Georgia and joined Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Hodnett Cooper Real Estate. I am currently licensed in both states.
Who or what inspired you to become a Realtor? I was inspired to become a Realtor by a friend that was really passionate about helping people to obtain the American dream of homeownership.
Who is someone you admire in the community and why? The person I admire in the Camden community is Apostle Edith Moore, who prayed for me and assisted in my decision to expand in ministry here, as well as in Louisiana. I would also like to thank Kathleen Boswell, my broker at the Camden County office, who welcomed me with open arms to join the Camden team. We met back in 2021 and she invited me to join them and, finally, two years later, here I am.
What advice would you give to a prospective local homebuyer? Even though the real estate market is facing some challenges right now, I am convinced that it will persevere.
Describe your perfect Saturday in the Golden Isles: My perfect Saturday includes taking a ride to downtown St. Marys to spend time in the park while fishing off the pier.
Describe a hobby you enjoy away from work: My hobbies that I enjoy outside of work are writing poetry, traveling and encouraging people.
Outside of work, how are you involved in the community? I love attending community events, including my grandson’s football games. I also have been active in St. Marys community events such as holiday parties and breast cancer awareness promotions. I am currently 60 years young, a breast cancer survivor of 15 years, a three-time COVID-19 survivor, and a Crohn’s disease overcomer. My real estate slogan is: “Defy The Odds, Buy and Sell with Lady Roz!”
Describe the current local real estate market: Now is the time to purchase your dream home. Maybe it is time to downsize? Or upsize? Let’s make it happen!
