Life comes at you fast when your profession is quarterback in the NFL.
Not only do you have to keep an eye on defensive linemen who would love nothing more than to flatten you into the earth, you also have to keep a watchful eye on your value to the organization.
Ask erstwhile New York Jets quarterback Zach Wilson. The 24-year-old signal caller has gone from potential franchise savior who was picked second overall in the 2021 NFL draft to being traded to the Denver Broncos for a sixth- and seventh-round pick in the 2024 NFL draft.
In real estate terms, the Jets’ return on Wilson would be akin to buying a multimillion-dollar mansion in 2021, then flipping it three years later at the price of a decent mobile home.
While Wilson did ink a four-year, $35 million contract in 2021, he didn’t splurge on a big baller house in a high-end locale like Alpine, NJ, or a penthouse in Tribeca. We deem this an extremely smart off-the-field move by the young QB—one that looks even smarter after his rapid Jets flameout.
He kept his housing situation relatively modest, scoring a nondescript townhouse less than 10 minutes from the Jets headquarters in Florham Park, NJ. Wilson paid $865,000 for the three-bedroom residence in April 2022, after he had wrapped up a disappointing rookie season with the Jets.
Two years later, the condo built in 2021 is back on the market as Wilson prepares for a move to the Rocky Mountains.
Listed for $950,000, the home features a lower-level media room ideal for watching a blockbuster movie or breaking down game film.
Recovery is important for pro athletes, and that’s evident in the luxury massage chair in the primary bedroom and the massage table adjacent to the plush couches on the home’s lower level.

Highlights of the 2,244-square-foot home include custom closets, a gleaming kitchen with high-end appliances, and hardwood floors.
The homeowners association fees come to $465 a month, and shopping and dining options are just a short walk away.
The median home price in Florham Park is $972,500, which comes out to about $341 per square foot. Wilson’s townhouse is priced below the median, but the price per square foot is $423.
As for where Wilson should look in the Denver area, there’s always fellow QB Russell Wilson‘s Colorado mansion. We jest, but Russell’s equally brisk tenure in Denver highlights why an NFL player should never get too comfy in any city.
Meanwhile, we found Zach a couple of sweet rentals currently available in the Mile High City.
There’s a cool industrial unit downtown for $6,500 a month. The three-bedroom corner unit even features one of the bedrooms currently configured as a media room. That paired with the views of downtown makes this place a winner.

Then there’s a terrific townhouse in the city’s West Highland neighborhood that’s available for $6,000 a month. It’s highlighted by a rooftop deck—with a hot tub—offering views of downtown and the Rocky Mountains.
