Finals Postponed At Columbia Law Due To Ongoing Protests

This has been a trying day, amidst a trying two weeks, and the crisis on campus has left no member of our community unaffected.

— Dean Gillian Lester of Columbia Law School, in an email to all students, letting them know that all final exams scheduled for Wednesday, May 1, would be postponed to “ensure student safety and well-being” in light of the ongoing protests and encampments at the school’s New York campus. As noted by Reuters, Lester promised that information concerning final exams scheduled for Thursday, May 2, will be announced soon.
