Coldwell Banker Island Properties names managing broker, GM for Oahu operations

Coldwell Banker Island Properties has named Chuck Garrett managing broker and general manager for its Oahu operations, the locally owned residential real estate firm announced this week.

In his role, Garrett, who most recently was with Corcoran Pacific Properties, will be responsible for “spearheading strategic growth across Oahu, with a focus on residential projects and commercial real estate sectors,” according to a March 26 announcement from Coldwell Banker Island Properties.

“I am excited to join Coldwell Banker Island Properties and contribute to its continued success,” Garrett said in a statement. “I am confident that together, we will unlock new opportunities, drive innovation, and elevate the experience for both our agents and their clients.”

According to the announcement, “Garrett’s comprehensive strategy includes the recruitment of top performing real estate agents and key staff members, each bringing a wealth of knowledge and expertise specific to the Oahu market. Furthermore, he aims to enhance the agent experience, ensuring Coldwell Banker Island Properties agents on Oahu have access to unparalleled support and resources.”

With more than three decades of experience in real estate sales, management, relocation and technology, Garrett — who was born and raised in the greater Philadelphia area and moved to Hawaii in 1988 — has earned a number of certifications and designations, including Certified Luxury Home Marketing Specialist and Certified Residential Specialist, among others, according to the announcement.

He has worked across various sectors, including multifamily property management, “where he played a pivotal role in training and consulting for Section 8 and tax credit software applications,” the announcement said.

Additionally, according to the announcement, Garrett also has served as president of multiple councils and boards, including the Hawaii Real Estate Business Institute and the Relocation Directors Council.

“Chuck is a consummate professional with an incredible track record of success,” Neil Gulley, executive vice president of Coldwell Banker Island Properties, said in a statement. “With his strategic vision and passion for growth, Chuck will play a pivotal role in accelerating our agency’s expansion on Oahu and further solidifying our position as a leading brokerage in Hawaii real estate.”

CBIP has nearly 600 Realtors in 14 offices across Kauai, Oahu, Maui and Hawaii Island.

Headquartered in Kihei, Maui, the firm opened its first Oahu office in Kaimuki last August, Pacific Business News previously reported. The company also announced the launch of a commercial real estate division serving the state’s four major islands last August.
