“Woman in the Maze” follows Gabriella “Gabbi” Reynolds, a young city real estate agent who follows an opportunity to travel to Jerome, Ariz. to scout some properties. While renting a home in the largest ghost town in America, she soon discovers the house is haunted and transforms into an ever-changing maze that traps any woman inside. Determined to escape alive, Gabby must stay one step ahead and discover why this is happening to her.
Known for her roles in “Fast X” and “Thor: Love and Thunder,” Meredith VanCuyk stars as “Gabbi” Reynolds. VanCuyk is joined by British American stage and screen actor Joey Heyworth and European actor, stand up comedian, writer and producer, Sean Dillingham. Heyworth has starred in the numerous films including “Landlord from Hell,” “Wild West Chronicles” and “The Other Side of Infinity.” Dillingham has acted in over 70 films, more than 150 commercials and 25 television series such as “Rust,” “Brooklyn Nine-Nine,” “Night Train” and “Falling for Christmas.”
The entirety of “Woman in the Maze” is filmed in Arizona. Alongside VanCuyk, Heyworth and Dillingham, the full cast of the movie is comprised of local Arizona actors and actresses, including George Nelson, Brenda Jean Folley, Cortney Davis, Missy Jane and Elley Ringo. The movie also features the song “Bad News” as its opening track, written and performed by local band, Black Moods.
“We are thrilled to announce the premiere of ‘Woman in the Maze’ in Arizona, the place that inspired this film,” said Patel. “This project is rooted so deeply in Arizona with the storyline in Jerome, the opening song, filming in Prescott and Chandler and all the amazing local actors we were able to bring in. We wanted this film to mirror the world changing around us and we are so proud to be able to share a small piece of Arizona with the world.”
Patel has over 15 years of experience in the film industry and has premiered numerous films including “Instant Karma” and “House of Quarantine.” Recently, he produced and directed “Fortis Femina,” which will be released in 2024.
