Pendry Tampa, a 39-story hotel-condo tower under construction in downtown Tampa, has reached $230 million in sales.
Two Roads Development and Pendry Hotels and Resorts on Wednesday held a groundbreaking celebration for the tower, which will include 220 guest rooms and 207 condominiums. Piling drilling on the site, which is at Ashley Drive and Whiting Street on the Hillsborough River, is underway. Several dozen piles have already been placed, reaching 300 feet down to the bedrock.
“Construction activity on site is moving into an exciting new phase, with foundation drilling well underway,” Reid Boren, Two Roads Development managing partner, said in a statement. “Luxury hotels paired with hotel-serviced condominiums such as this are raising the level of hospitality and residential living across the country, and we are thrilled to help add this destination to the vibrant and growing Riverwalk in downtown Tampa.”

Pendry Tampa is the ninth property in Pendry’s portfolio.
“Tampa’s reputation as an exciting entertainment, business and innovation destination is growing quickly around the country and beyond,” Michael Fuerstman, co-founder of Pendry Hotels & Resorts, said in a statement. “We are pleased to see construction well underway for this tremendous hotel and residential development and look forward to bringing Pendry to the city.”
Coastal Construction is the tower’s general contractor.
“Coastal Construction is excited to again collaborate with Two Roads,” Sean DeMartino, Coastal Construction’s Central and North Florida president, said in a statement. “Once completed, the Pendry will stand as an iconic building, helping to define Tampa’s skyline while setting a new standard for contemporary luxury waterfront living downtown.”
