Worcester body shop and car seller Beacon Auto Sales Inc. sells … – Worcester Telegram

WORCESTER — For those driving through Chandler Street for the past 60 years, the name of Beacon Auto Sales Inc. has been a very familiar presence — even if they have never had their car serviced at the location.
A Sutton-based housing developer, Polar Views LLC, purchased the property at 119, 125 and 127 Chandler St. on Nov. 29, sealing a $2.1 million deal with Tom Savasta, longtime owner of Beacon, according to the Worcester Registry of Deeds.
Savasta, a 79-year-old Worcesterite, told the T&G that the establishment will remain for the foreseeable future, adding that the developers are previous customers.
The deal was brokered by real estate agents NAI Glickman Kovago & Jacobs, who stated in a release that the developers intend to build a three-story, 15-unit multifamily building.
Rebecca Yarnie, co-owner of Polar Views LLC, a company with expertise in luxury apartment buildings, said that there are no immediate plans for the property, and denied the real estate’s statement about the plans.
The total surface area is listed to be more than 36,200 square feet on the Worcester property records website.
Yarnie co-owns the company with her husband, Daniel Yarnie, and has actively purchased properties in the city with the purpose of housing redevelopment.
In April, they bought the land at 39 Lamartine St., where the previous building had been an early location of a neighborhood police department, and most recently, the location of Worcester Electrical Associates Inc.
Polar Views LLC also recently purchased the property at 216 Chandler St., where Suney’s Pub, a restaurant famous for its fish and chips, was located for 52 years.
The couple have not said what their plans are for either property.
