The Microfiction Writing Contest 3.0/ How to Apply (N30,000)

The organizers of the Microfiction Writing Contest have announced the third edition starting May 2nd!

Agbalumo Stories is open to receiving entries for its Microfiction Writing Contest in 2023. It is a platform that creates an iroko tree where tales can be shared, where deserving writers can find the spotlight as an Agbalumo author, regardless of the genre they write, and have their books grace bookstores nationwide and beyond.

 

However, this post focuses on its Microfiction Contest. It is May, 2023 and authors should send in a 300 word fiction

Eligibility for Microfiction Writing Contest 3.0

 

  • The contest is open to every African Writer. 
  • Entrants must be above 16 years old.
  • Entrants must follow Contest rules
  • Only prose is required.
  • Only one entry per author. 

 

Microfiction Writing Contest 3.0Submission Guidelines 

  • Each story must incorporate the theme “Chukwu is a She.”
  • Submit to the email address: [email protected]
  • Your story must not exceed 300 words.
  • Type or Paste your stories in the body of the mail, alongside a brief author’s bio. 
  • The subject line should be in this format: FIRST NAME, Last Name (story title).
  • Deadline for submission is 31st May, 2023.

  • The winner gets N30,000 cash!
