Oconomowoc lake retreat with pool, butterfly nursery listed for $4.9M: Open House

An Oconomowoc lake home that has a heated outdoor pool and a private deck overlooking the water recently hit the market for $4.9 million. It’s located on Upper Nashotah Lake.

Built in 2019 on nearly an acre, the 4,712-square-foot house has six bedrooms and six bathrooms. With two rooms that have built-in bunk beds, it could sleep a large family or easily accommodate visitors. The primary bedroom has a private balcony with lake views.

The house has a contemporary style, with shiplap on the walls in multiple rooms. The lower level is equipped with a theater room and the upper level has a bonus lounge space.

Outside, the yard includes a “burgeoning butterfly nursery,” according to the listing by Paul Liebe with Lake Country Flat Fee. The property has 300 feet of lake frontage and comes with a pier and boat lift.

The house has a Summit address but its postal city is Oconomowoc. It’s among the most expensive houses currently on the market in Waukesha County.

Earlier this month, a lake house on nearby Okauchee Lake owned by former Milwaukee Bucks head coach Mike Budenholzer hit the market for $7 million.
