Chandler Properties has opened Cleveland Truck Parking at 492 Kile Lane, SW. Cleveland Truck Parking provides outdoor storage and truck and trailer parking.
The property currently has 20 tractor trailer parking spaces with plans to add additional parking spaces in 2023. Parking spaces are 14’ wide x 75’ long and are available for monthly rental online at their website.
There is a shortage of truck parking both nationally and locally. According to Owner-Operator Independent Drivers Association, “There is only one parking spot for every 11 trucks on the road.” Truck drivers often rank parking availability as a top concern. If drivers cannot find parking, they often must park illegally or continue searching, which can result in violating federal hours-of-service rules.
Chandler Properties owner Michael Rogers said, “We are excited to add truck parking to our portfolio. Since opening the parking facility I’ve routinely heard from the transportation industry that the shortage in trucking parking is hurting their business. Our hope is to help alleviate the parking issue in the Cleveland/Chattanooga markets.”
