A Texas man with Austin ties temporarily traded real estate for reality television starring on Bravo’s “Summer House: Martha’s Vineyard.“
Amir Lancaster, an Austin realtor who also works in Dallas and Houston, is one of 12 people in the “Summer House” spin-off. A show synopsis from Bravo’s website reads: “With beach parties, decadent dinners, and summer hookups, both fun and drama are in store for these young Black professionals and entrepreneurs.”
As the name implies, the show takes place in Martha’s Vineyard, an island south of Massachusetts’s Cape Cod peninsula.
Martha’s Vineyard is certainly a far cry from Lancaster’s home state of Texas. He grew up in Arlington but now seems to spend much of his time in Austin, as his LinkedIn profile states that “being able to couple his love for the city with his drive to help others is what led him to become a real estate agent.”

His LinkedIn profile also shows employment with Spyglass Realty as a real estate agent, where he began working in 2022. From early 2020 to late 2021, Lancaster worked as a sales engineer for KEYENCE CORPORATION in Austin.
Lancaster also went to school not far from Austin. In 2018, he graduated from Texas State University in San Marcos with a Bachelor of Education in Health and Physical Education/Fitness.
“Summer House: Martha’s Vineyard” premiered May 7, and as of Tuesday, two episodes are available to watch on Bravo.
